May 9, 2018
Africa Agribusiness Academy Rwanda Chapter is investing in helping members increase the performance of their companies through the expertise by experienced Netherlands senior experts. Members in various sectors are receiving experts in different domains who are helping them to improve the quality of their products and how their production can be expanded. From January 2018 five experts have been working with AAA members and others have confirmed to come within the months to follow.
On Friday 16th February 2018, Ben Van Druten, the Coordinator of PUM, and Emma Bergmans, Project officer, both based in Netherlands, with Ben Ruten PUM representative in Rwanda met with the Rwanda Chapter Board and agreed on a partnership. The partnership between the two organizations is set to help AAA members to benefit from the expertise of experienced Dutch entrepreneurs.

Already, such expertise is impacting member companies. Mr Jean Bosco owner of High Performance Service and Business Ltd, a private company specialized in rice processing, said that PUM experts whom they met in January 2018, helped them to start a new big project which will make briquette (charcoals) from the rest of the rice that were not used before. He stated that this new project will be another source of income and respond to the problem of energy especially in rural areas as well as for environment protection.

Furthermore, AAA members share knowledge during different activities including Business Club meetings, B2B, exchange visits, exhibitions and expo; the skills acquired help them to learn from others, to increase market shares, to bring new members on board, as well as to improve their services for companies’ sustainability.
